The Coastal housing Partnership marked its 20th anniversary in step with last week’s Earth Day celebration. The housing partnership has helped nearly 10,000 local employees purchase homes since its inception in 1987. The housing partnership was founded by a group of Santa Barbara employers who had difficulty retaining employees as a result of high housing costs. The housing partnership celebrated the anniversary with new program features and by giving out free bookmarks at the local bookstores and libraries to raise awareness about the program. Raytheon, Montecito Bank & Trust, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and the County of Ventura have utilized the housing partnership’s services. The new program is expected to be revealed before summer. |
