How You Can Save When You Purchase a Home,
Refinance your Mortgage or Lease an Apartment

Coastal Housing Partnership (CHP) discount programs can help you overcome some of the common obstacles to homeownership. As a CHP member employee, you are eligible for discounts which can reduce the amount of money you need for your downpayment, closing costs or refinancing fees.

Refinancing a Mortgage

If you are planning to refinance your mortgage, check out CHP’s Mortgage Assistance Program. Our program can save you hundreds of of dollars in up front costs over the life of your loan. We have contracted with a number of lenders that have agreed to waive some of the up front fees associated with a mortgage refinance. These lenders typically waive the processing fee and the credit report fee. Some of the lenders also waive the appraisal fee. Additionally a reduction in the mortgage interest rate is being offered by one or our providers. For a list of lenders participating in the program, click on Discount Providers List.

Renting an Apartment

Coastal Housing Partnership has partnered with several local landlords to offer monthly rental reductions. They have agreed to reduce the monthly market rent on new leases starting at $50 / month for a studio or one bedroom, $75 / month for a two or more bedroom and $100 / month for a single-family home. Simply call the participating landlords, let them know you are a part of Coastal Housing Partnership and ask which of their units are eligible for the program. Letter of Authorization

In order to use the Coastal Housing Partnership financial assistance programs, you will need a letter of Authorization from CHP verifying that you are an employee of a member company. Fill out a short application and send it to the CHP office to obtain your letter of authorization.
