Coastal Housing Partnership (CHP) financial assistance programs can help you overcome some of the common obstacles to homeownership. As a CHP member organization employee, you are eligible for financial assistance which can reduce the amount of money you need for your downpayment, closing costs or refinancing fees. For more information on each of the following three programs, click on the program title. Homebuyer's Assistance Program Closing costs are the expenses you incur in securing a loan and transferring ownership of a property. Using the Homebuyer's Assistance Program can significantly reduce your closing costs. Homebuyers can receive generous discounts on home inspection and lender fees, as well as credits from the real estate broker when utilizing the services of the companies that participate in the Homebuyer's Assistance Program. If you are considering refinancing your mortgage, you are eligible for discounts on some of the up-front costs of refinancing through our Mortgage Refinance Program. Rental Housing Assistance Program Employees of member companies are eligible for rental discounts on a new lease. CHP has partnered with a number of local landlords to offer discounts off the market rent of a number of their rental units. In order to use the Coastal Housing Partnership financial assistance programs, you will need a letter of Authorization from CHP verifying that you are an employee of a member company. Fill out a short application and send it to the CHP office to obtain your letter of authorization.
