What is the Coastal Housing Partnership?

The Coastal Housing Partnership (CHP) was founded in response to a problem and a principle:

• The Problem: South Coast home prices are making it increasingly difficult for employers to attract and retain employees.
• The Principle: Employers could accomplish more by working together than they could individually.

The Coastal Housing Partnership (CHP) supports South Coast employers by providing financial assistance programs and educational services to assist employees in becoming homeowners in the local community. CHP employer members recognize that when employees live locally, it benefits the employee as well as the company. These employers recognize the challenges involved in buying a home in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

These employers have joined together to offer their employees a new benefit: a Housing Assistance Benefits Package. This package provides financial-assistance programs addressing common obstacles to purchasing a home, such as the down payment and closing costs.
